Job summary

Bridge View Nursing Home in New York is seeking a Dietary Supervisor to lead the dietary staff, oversee meal preparation, ensure service quality, and uphold sanitation and safety standards across the kitchen.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in food service management or supervisory role in healthcare/institutional setting.
• Knowledge of diets, meal planning, and large-quantity food preparation.
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical work.
• Positive attitude, energy, and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food service operations, including meal prep, handling, storage, and cleanliness ensuring health and safety regulations are met.
• Assist in monthly menu planning to meet nutritional needs of residents.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal/local regulations, including DPI mandates.
• Supervise and evaluate food service staff, enforcing safety and service standards.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and proper storage of equipment and food items.
• Arrange for substitutes and coverage when staff are absent.
• Manage food purchasing and timely delivery of commodities.
• Coordinate kitchen facilities and equipment use for events.
• Provide training and development to staff on food quality and service.
