Atrium Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an experienced Dietary Supervisor to lead the Food Services Department and ensure safe, nutritious meals for residents.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing home, or healthcare facility, strong knowledge of diet therapy, cost control, staff training, and adherence to regulatory standards; duties include scheduling, inventory, and coordinating with Nursing and other

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory experience in healthcare food service.
• Knowledge of diet therapy and nutrition principles.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, implement, and supervise all Food Services operations.
• Coordinate dietary services with Nursing, Environmental, Activities, and Social Services.
• Supervise dietary staff to ensure policies and safety standards.
• Prepare staff schedules to ensure full coverage for all shifts.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served per approved menus.
• Oversee menu updates, diet changes, admissions, and ticket accuracy.
• Maintain documentation, logs, and reports related to operations.
• Monitor sanitation in storage, preparation, and service areas.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and participate in surveys.
• Manage inventory, orders, and supply levels; assist cost control.
• Report accidents and incidents promptly; promote a safe work environment.
