Job summary

Bedford Care Centers is seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to oversee meal preparation and dietary services in compliance with Residents’ Diet Orders, regulations, and company policies. The role requires ensuring high standards of food quality, accurate inventory, and courteous communication with Residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Prefer supervisory experience in large-scale cooking and food service.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any required certificates.
• Must be in good physical condition, be able to read and write to accomplish job duties.
• Must pass drug screens and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Promptly reports any suspected Resident abuse to Administrator
• Maintains strict confidentiality of Residents’ and Employees’ PHI as required by HIPAA/HITECH
• Immediately reports to Nurse any unattended Resident leaving facility and assists as needed
• Complies with and respects Residents’ rights; knocks before entering Residents’ rooms
• Reports to Dietary Manager all complaints from outside Dietary Department that cannot be resolved
