Job summary

Transdev North America, Inc. in Statesboro, GA is seeking a Lead Diesel Technician to supervise a diesel technician team and ensure efficient diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of diesel vehicles.

Responsibilities include prioritizing workload, diagnosing complex issues, managing parts inventory, and coaching staff. Requires CDL, ASE certifications, and strong leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as a diesel technician with proficiency diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems; CDL required.
• ASE certifications required; leadership and supervisory skills to manage a team.
• Mechanics tool set required.
• DOT drug testing/physical may apply per DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prioritize workload of the diesel technician team, ensuring timely completion.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in diesel vehicles/equipment.
• Manage inventory levels of parts and supplies to support maintenance and repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and related components per specs.
• Coach and monitor team members.
• Other duties as required.
