Vanguard Truck Centers LLC in Georgia seeks a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair diesel trucks, communicate with parts, and maintain a clean, safe shop. You will participate in training programs and mentor apprentices as part of a growing, successful company.

The ideal candidate has basic mechanical aptitude, 1–2 years of experience, a valid driver’s license, and a strong work ethic. CDL eligibility is required later; base tools must be provided or obtained within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational/technical training preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with 1–2 years experience.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain CDL.

Responsabilités

• Diagnoses cause of malfunctions and repairs diesel trucks.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.
• Supervises work of any apprentice diesel technicians as assigned.
• Keeps shop area neat and safe for you and others.
• Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.

Our unique footprint allows us to provide a diverse range of products and services across many industries, and across the country.RESPONSIBILITIES for Diesel TechniciansDiesel Technicians performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair on diesel Trucks or equipment.Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.Diesel Technician will documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.Diesel Technician will participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.Supervises work of any apprentice diesel technicians as assigned.Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.Ensures that customers' vehicles are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.Keeps shop area neat and clean for your safety and safety of other diesel technicians.Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
