Vanguard Truck Centers in Georgia is seeking hardworking diesel technicians to diagnose, repair and service diesel trucks. You will collaborate with the parts department, document work, and road test when required, ensuring high quality, timely service.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years mechanical experience preferred.
• High school diploma or vocational/technical training preferred.
• Must have base required tools or obtain within 30 days.
• Valid driver's license with ability to obtain CDL license.
• Safety shoes required from day one of employment.
• Background screening is a mandatory prerequisite for employment.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose cause of malfunctions and repair diesel trucks or equipment.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Examine vehicles and determine if further work is required or recommended.
• Road test vehicles when required or refer to test technician.
• Document all work performed and recommendations on the repair order.
• Supervise apprentices as assigned; keep shop area neat and safe.

Our unique footprint allows us to provide a diverse range of products and services across many industries, and across the country.RESPONSIBILITIES for Diesel TechniciansDiesel Technicians performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair on diesel Trucks or equipment.Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.Diesel Technician will documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.Diesel Technician will participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.Supervises work of any apprentice diesel technicians as assigned.Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.Ensures that customers' vehicles are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.Keeps shop area neat and clean for your safety and safety of other diesel technicians.Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
