Job summary

Nextran Truck Centers is seeking a Floor Foreman with a repair focus to lead and mentor service shop personnel, ensuring timely, high-quality repairs and exceptional customer service. The role involves coaching technicians, managing performance, and overseeing safety and organization on the shop floor.

You will collaborate with service writers, lead uptime technicians, and management to minimize reworks and outages while maintaining Nextran’s standards and processes across our Southeast/Midwest

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in heavy-duty truck industry managing/supervising technicians of Class 6, 7 and/or 8 trucks.
• Master Tech Certification for the OEM’s Nextran services required or obtainable.
• Ability to drive and climb into heavy-duty trucks; ability to squat, bend over, and lift components while performing truck repair.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal skills to communicate with customers, technicians, shop foreman, service writers, and vendors.
• Computer proficiency; experience with Asist and/or Karmak is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage service shop personnel to ensure timely, high-quality repairs and customer satisfaction.
• Assist management with technician development through on-the-job training, coaching, and discipline.
• Directly supervise technician trainees and provide technical support to technicians and management.
• Track technician performance and coach for improvement; schedule training and certifications.
• Ensure the shop bay is clean, organized, and safe; enforce safety protocols and Nextran policies.
