A. Duie Pyle, Inc. in Altoona, PA is seeking an experienced Lead Diesel Mechanic to join our Fleet Maintenance team on the 1st shift.

You will maintain, diagnose, and repair our Class 8 trucks to keep the fleet dependable. • Minimum of 2 years’ experience repairing/maintaining Class 8 trucks.
• A complete set of hand tools for heavy truck repair.
• Vocational or Technical Training in diesel/heavy-duty vehicle; HS Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Willingness to learn and grow your abilities.
• Ability to work independently with a “can-do” attitude.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine preventative maintenance and general repairs on Class 8 trucks.
• Troubleshooting and repairing brakes, air systems, electrical components, suspension systems, etc.
• Diagnosing and performing necessary repairs to the engine, electrical, and exhaust after-treatment systems.
• Inspecting and replacing general components as required.
