Job summary

Empire Truck Sales, LLC in Hattiesburg, MS seeks an Experienced Master Technician to diagnose and repair heavy trucks, including engine overhauls, transmissions, ECU programming, and multiplex systems. You will serve as the shop's lead diagnostic resource and work closely with DTNA technical support and field engineers.

You will train and mentor junior technicians, help with repair estimates, and pursue ongoing OEM certifications while enjoying a top-tier earning potential and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of heavy-duty truck technician experience with expert-level diagnostic skills.
• ASE Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician certification or equivalent OEM certification.
• DTNA, Detroit, Cummins, or Allison certifications strongly preferred; Western Star experience a plus.
• Demonstrated productivity, repair accuracy, and low comeback rates.
• Ability to explain complex technical issues to technicians, service advisors, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the shop's lead diagnostic resource for complex, intermittent, and repeat repairs.
• Perform major engine overhauls, DT12/Allison transmission repairs, and advanced electrical troubleshooting.
• Handle ECU programming, parameter changes, and software updates.
• Collaborate with DTNA technical support and field service engineers on difficult cases.
• Train, mentor, and quality-check the work of junior technicians.
• Partner with service advisors and the shop foreman on repair estimates and customer communication.
