Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Tech-Senior for the MARC Radiology team, Saturday shift from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role involves performing diagnostic sonographic examinations and mentoring junior staff, using ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images.

The ideal candidate has strong patient communication skills, the ability to work independently within a team, and adherence to confidentiality and safety protocols. RDMS-V and RVS certifications are preferred.

• Proficient in instructing patients to position for accurate images.
• Strong listening and interpersonal communication; empathize with patients.
• Ability to read and follow imaging orders.

• Maintain strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques.
• Locates, evaluates, and records pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data.
• Schedules and coordinates tests and prepares and maintains operational logs.
• Records test results and updates patient records for referring physicians.
• Maintains and calibrates equipment, and orders necessary supplies.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
