Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist I who can cover Weekend Day and Weekend Night shifts. Under general supervision, you will perform routine and specialized sonographic procedures for patients of all ages, ensuring accurate imaging and timely documentation for PACS interpretation.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited ultrasound program with registry eligibility, ARDMS eligibility within 1 year of hire, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound program, registry eligible.
• Weekend shift availability preferred.
• Prior work experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams for patients of all ages with accurate imaging.
• Educate and prepare patients, document exams, and coordinate care with providers.
• Maintain infection prevention standards and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor equipment, perform quality control, and support departmental operations.
• Transfer images to PACS for interpretation.

Associate’s degree in health sciences or related field
