PRN Ultrasound Tech‑Senior (MARC Radiology)

Join UT Health San Antonio as a PRN Ultrasound Technician – Senior level. Work PRN evening shifts 4–8 p.m. Under limited supervision you perform diagnostic sonographic examinations and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques.
• Locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data.
• Schedule and coordinate tests and maintain operational logs.
• Record test results and update patient records for referring physicians.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment and order necessary supplies.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to instruct patients on positioning to obtain accurate images.
• Active listening, interpersonal communication, and social skills; empathize with patients.
• Read and comprehend written imaging orders.
• Organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements timely.
• Work independently or with little supervision in a team environment.
• Act as a team leader, creating a collaborative and respectful team environment and improving workflows.

Licenses and Certifications

• RDMS‑V Registered Diagnostic Med Sonographer – Vascular (Required)
