Job summary

Aker Systems is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive secure cloud environments for public and private sector clients, leveraging AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and IaC. You will build automated deployments and support real-time analytical platforms with CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher and a minimum of 5 years in DevOps, plus UK SC clearance or willingness to obtain with support. A collaborative, delivery-focused culture awaits with competitive benefits and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; 5+ years of working experience in a DevOps capacity.
• Experience deploying and operating infrastructure (network, servers, services) on AWS and other cloud environments.
• Server build and administration for Linux and Windows.
• GitHub/GitLab for source control and code reviews in CI/CD workflows.
• CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible) expertise.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and deploy cloud-based infrastructure and applications using CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Contribute to the coding of automated test frameworks.
• Perform script maintenance and updates due to changes in requirements.
• Assist with setup/maintenance of environments for testing and production.
• Provide production support and incident resolution.
• Mentor and lead team delivering to customer requirements.
