Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer for a global credit intelligence, data, and analytics client. The role is full-time and can be remote or hybrid, with the Chicago office downtown.

You will lead DevOps strategy and cloud infrastructure, overseeing a team of engineers, partnering with developers, data engineers, SREs, security, and IT to automate processes and ensure reliability, scalability, and security of platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a DevOps role with 2+ years in a leadership position
• Strong cloud platform experience including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Route53
• Experience troubleshooting incidents and documenting findings
• Solid knowledge of database management and troubleshooting
• Security best practices and implementing security controls

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of DevOps engineers with mentorship and hands-on leadership
• Implement and support automated CI/CD pipelines to improve delivery and reliability
• Collaborate with SREs to maintain monitoring and alerting systems
• Work with Security to apply security best practices across infra and apps
• Plan, test, and execute disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives
