Job summary

Hamsa is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS for a high-traffic, security-conscious environment. You will lead an international DevOps team and collaborate with engineering to optimize release processes.

The role requires 3–5+ years in a senior capacity, expertise in Kubernetes and CI/CD, and strong scripting (Terraform, Python, Bash, YAML). Remote position with East Coast hours and strong emphasis on security.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building, deploying and operating scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Experience supporting financial institutions or high-transaction environments is a plus.
• Remote role requiring East Coast hours.

Responsibilities

• Automate and manage cloud environments, focusing on AWS.
• Lead the International DevOps team and set delivery priorities.
• Design, deploy, and maintain metrics, logging, and monitoring.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and optimize release workflows.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across environments.
• Participate in on-call rotation for infrastructure alerts.
• Design DR and HA strategies using cloud-native services.
• Implement system hardening and security configurations.
• Maintain infrastructure-as-code and automate ops.
• Improve performance, scalability, and security continually.
• Contribute to internal docs and team knowledge sharing.
