Job summary

Hamsa is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and manage our cloud infrastructure on AWS. This remote, full-time role requires alignment with East Coast hours and collaboration with engineering teams to streamline compilation, delivery, and operations for high-scale transactions.

You will lead an international DevOps team, implement robust monitoring, and advance security and reliability using Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines across global environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building scalable infrastructure in secure cloud environments.
• Experience supporting Tier 1 financial institutions is a strong plus.
• Remote position requiring East Coast hours.
• 3–5+ years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Expertise with CI/CD pipelines in distributed environments.
• Kubernetes expertise (CKA preferred) for service orchestration.
• Scripting/programming in Terraform, Python, Bash, or YAML.
• Hands-on AWS experience and source control (Bitbucket or GitHub).
• Monitoring/logging experience (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
• Strong DevSecOps discipline and shift-left security integration.
• Ability to prioritize in high-pressure settings and collaborate across cultures.

Responsibilities

• Automate and manage cloud environments, with a focus on AWS.
• Lead the International DevOps team by prioritizing work and mentoring engineers.
• Design, deploy, and maintain metrics, logging, and monitoring systems.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and optimize release workflows.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and system issues across environments.
• Participate in on-call rotations for infrastructure alerts.
• Design and enforce disaster recovery and high availability strategies.
• Implement system hardening and security configurations across services.
• Evolve infrastructure-as-code and automate operational processes.
• Improve performance, scalability, and security; contribute to documentation.
