Job summary

Humana is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer in Nashville to lead the Developer Tools and Software Catalog ecosystem across the enterprise. Drive DevEx, automation, governance, and self-service capabilities with cross-functional partners.

Lead tooling standards, platform reliability, and modernization initiatives. Collaborate with Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Product teams to deliver scalable software delivery and improved developer productivity.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years in software engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or a related discipline.
2+ years of technical leadership experience.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience with Azure, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git, SQL, and Java or .NET development.
Proficiency with PowerShell, Bash, and Python scripting.

Responsibilities

Lead the strategy, governance, and lifecycle of the enterprise Developer Tools and Software Catalog ecosystem.
Partner with Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Product teams to drive DevEx and self-service tooling.
Define tooling standards, governance, and support models.
Own Developer Experience, onboarding, Day 2 operations, and productivity initiatives.
Oversee tool lifecycle, upgrades, licensing, renewals, adoption and retirement.
Lead platform modernization, automation, and cost optimization initiatives.
