Job summary

Index Analytics LLC is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead DevSecOps practices in AWS, integrating security monitoring and test automation across the SDLC. You will architect and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines and IaC workflows.

The role requires deep hands-on experience with Terraform or CloudFormation, GitLab/Jenkins/GitHub, Linux scripting, and security compliance expertise. You’ll collaborate with development and security teams to deliver compliant, high-quality solutions on schedule.

Qualifications

• US citizen or authorized to work in the US with eligibility for a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 10+ years IT experience with at least 6 years DevSecOps in AWS.
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform and/or CloudFormation).
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub or similar.
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and security controls integration.
• Proficient in Linux administration and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and manage DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines using open-source and COTS solutions.
• Establish, maintain, and continuously improve DevSecOps processes including IaC, test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management.
• Design and support infrastructure enabling Test-Driven Development and automated testing.
• Provide operational support and maintenance for AWS cloud infrastructure and platform services.
• Serve as subject matter expert, providing security engineering guidance to development and operations teams.
• Implement security controls, compliance initiatives, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead and support security reviews, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing activities.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and acceptance criteria.
• Manage priorities and execute assignments independently with minimal supervision.
• Meet project timelines and deliver high-quality solutions and documentation.
• Act as trusted advisor for DevSecOps automation and tooling initiatives with practical leadership.
• Recommend and promote industry best practices, standards, and emerging technologies.
