Cartography Biosciences, Inc. is seeking a Principal Scientist or Associate Director to lead Developability & Protein Sciences for bispecific/multispecific antibodies.

You will drive biophysical screening, oversee protein production, and mentor a small team, with a hybrid onsite role in South San Francisco. The role requires strong experience in developability methods, mammalian expression, and cross-functional collaboration to advance candidates toward development.

Competenze

• PhD in protein science or related field with 5+ years (Principal Scientist) or 8+ years (Associate Director).
• Hands-on experience with bispecific or multispecific antibodies and analysis of product‑related species.
• Expertise in biophysical and developability methods (DSF/DSC, SEC, IEX, HIC, CE-SDS, AC-SINS).
• Developability triage experience translating data into candidate decisions.
• Mammalian transient expression and multi-step antibody purification on FPLC (AKTA).
• Leadership in cross-functional teams and mentoring scientists.
• Coding in Python or R to analyze data or automate workflows.

Mansioni

• Lead developability and biophysical characterization for antibody programs.
• Own screening cascades: stability, aggregation, charge variants, polyspecificity.
• Integrate in silico with experimental data to prioritize candidates.
• Scale protein production 1 mL to 10 L with internal and external partners.
• Direct purification strategies to resolve bispecific species and ensure product quality.
• Mentor scientists and drive cross-functional program decisions.
