Job summary

Milwaukee Tool in Brookfield, WI seeks a seasoned Manager of Design Engineering to lead design engineers and CAD designers on power tools products. You’ll drive new product development, lifecycle support, and tech integration while coordinating with product, manufacturing, and commercial teams.

You’ll mentor teams, manage complex projects, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, using CAD/CAE tools and AI-enabled engineering practices to push breakthroughs in power electronics and embedded

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering; graduate studies preferred in business areas.
• Minimum 10 years engineering experience in related field.
• Experience leading engineering departments and new product development teams.
• Technical cross functional leadership and financial acumen.
• Strong communication and talent development capabilities.
• Experience managing moderate complexity projects and subsystems.
• Mechanical aptitude with electrical systems integration experience.
• Working design knowledge of Milwaukee product technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership and direct new product development activities within the department.
• Ensure all projects are complete on time, at cost, and within budget.
• Develop resource plans.
• Ability to proactively manage risk.
• Regularly present engineered project status, schedule updates, and financial updates to stakeholders.
• Manage cross functional relationships across the business to support standardization and development.
• Recruit, develop and coach engineering team members and project leaders.
• Develop and improve business and department processes.
