Milwaukee Tool is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to lead mid/high complexity New Product Development in fastening power tools. You will own design decisions, perform rigorous analysis, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver innovative solutions.

Travel up to 10% and a strong emphasis on data-driven design, root-cause analysis, and system-level thinking will be essential in driving projects from concept to launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 5 years of machine design experience.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD Modeling.
• Broad knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with systems where closed-loop performance and repeatability are critical.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% (domestic and international).

Responsabilités

• Lead technical resource on mid/high complexity Power Tool New Product Development projects.
• Provide clear technical information to cross-functional teams to support design decisions.
• Establish test regimens and deliver data analyses to inform recommendations.
• Mentor engineering teammates and consult with non-engineering stakeholders.
• Apply first principles to create models and perform analytical design work.
• Conduct mechanical stress analysis on linear and nonlinear systems.
• Perform root cause analysis to resolve technical challenges.
• Execute tolerance stack analyses (statistical and geometric).
• Design and analyze gear-driven systems, including sound and vibration analysis.
• Maintain system-level view to ensure alignment with user needs and project delivery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage schedule, cost, and performance risks.
• Plan early-stage development using empirical and analytical methods.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced development environment.
• Proactively seek opportunities to teach and learn new practices.
