MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions, a Northwest mechanical contracting leader, is seeking a Lead Design Engineer to own design and engineering of exciting projects. You will serve as both project manager and lead designer, guiding from concept through completion while collaborating with clients, project teams, and fellow engineers.

The role offers meaningful ownership, opportunities to solve complex challenges, and growth as you demonstrate capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing HVAC and/or plumbing systems in mechanical contracting or engineering.
• Experience designing mechanical systems, performing calculations, selecting equipment, and layouts.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of building systems, construction processes, and design application.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with high technical quality and client service.
• Strong judgment and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, coordinated HVAC and plumbing designs that are constructible, accurate, cost-effective, and delivered on schedule.
• Own the engineering budget with scope, schedule, and budget management.
• Communicate and collaborate with internal and external partners through clear, timely communication across project teams, clients, contractors, and design partners.
• Lead design and engineering from concept to completion, partnering with clients and teams.
