Job summary

MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions is seeking a Lead Design Engineer in the Tri-Cities area to own design and engineering for diverse projects. You will guide projects from concept through completion, partnering with clients, project teams, and engineers to deliver coordinated HVAC and plumbing solutions.

This role offers ownership, autonomy, and opportunities to tackle challenging engineering problems while supporting the company’s growth across public and private sectors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing HVAC and/or plumbing systems in mechanical contracting or engineering environments.
• Experience designing mechanical systems, performing engineering calculations, selecting equipment, and developing coordinated HVAC/plumbing layouts.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and engineering of projects from concept through completion.
• Guide projects with clients, project teams, and fellow engineers.
• Demonstrate ownership, solve complex engineering challenges, and grow responsibilities.
