Job summary

MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions seeks a Lead Design Engineer to own design and engineering of major projects, serving as project manager and lead designer. You will guide concepts through completion while partnering with clients, project teams, and fellow engineers.

You’ll have opportunities for meaningful ownership, solving complex challenges, and growing responsibilities as you demonstrate your capabilities, with autonomy and support to do your best work.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing HVAC and/or plumbing systems in mechanical contracting or engineering.
• Experience designing mechanical systems, performing calculations, selecting equipment, and developing layouts.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of building systems, construction processes, and practical design.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining technical quality and client service.
• Strong technical judgment and the confidence to make decisions, solve problems, and own your work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, coordinated HVAC and plumbing designs that are constructible, accurate, cost-effective, and on schedule.
• Own the engineering budget and manage scope, schedule, and budget.
• Communicate and collaborate with internal and external partners across project teams, clients, contractors, and design partners.
