Job summary

Hire Consulting Services seeks a Sr. Project Engineer to drive the end-to-end design of custom automated equipment.

You will lead design teams, coordinate tasks, and ensure milestones are met while addressing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control interfaces. The role requires a BS Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of project design experience with SolidWorks, welding and fixture design, and strong communication with clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent.
• 5+ years of project design experience for fully customized automated production equipment.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and GD&T for precision designs.
• Experience with welding and fixture design is required.
• Experience with robotics, vision systems, or data acquisition is desirable.
• Strong communication with customers and suppliers; ability to manage multiple people and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall design of custom automated machines contracted for clients.
• Break down design work and coordinate tasks, timelines, and milestones with the team.
• Incorporate robotic, vision, welding, fixtures, controls, handling, and high-speed assembly elements as needed.
• Communicate project status regularly to customers and management.
