Job summary

Your Talent Team is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to design and oversee the creation of custom automated assembly equipment. You will lead design efforts, manage resources and communicate with customers and management to keep projects on schedule.

You will apply strong mechanical design skills, SolidWorks proficiency, and GD&T experience, while coordinating with suppliers and internal teams on robotics, controls, and material handling to deliver high-quality systems.

Qualifications

• BSME or similar degree with strong mechanical design skills.
• 5+ years of project design experience for fully customized automated production equipment.
• SolidWorks proficiency.
• Experience with welding, fixture design and GD&T.
• Desirable: robotics, vision systems, controls, data acquisition.
• Desirable: experience working with customers and suppliers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proven ability to manage groups or large projects to schedule.
• Good computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Design the overall concept for custom automated machines and lead designers on large projects.
• Break down design work into tasks, manage timelines and hold team accountable.
• Incorporate robotics, vision systems, welding, fixtures, controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and high-speed assembly.
• Regularly communicate project status to customers and management.
