Markent Personnel's client designs and manufactures fully customized automated assembly equipment. The Sr.

Project Engineer leads a project from concept to completion, coordinating mechanical design, robotics, vision systems, hydraulics and controls, and ensuring schedule integrity. You will manage resources, break work into tasks, communicate status to customers and management, and mentor design engineers.

Competenze

• BSME or similar degree with strong mechanical design skills.
• 5+ years of project design experience for fully customized automated production equipment.
• SolidWorks experience.
• Experience with welding, fixture design and GD&T.
• Experience with robotics, vision systems, computer controls and data acquisition desirable.
• Experience working with customers and suppliers desirable.
• Interpersonal verbal and written communication skills are extremely important.
• Proven success managing or leading large projects to a schedule is desirable.
• Good computer skills.

Our client design and manufactures fully customized automated assembly equipment for their customers and they need a Sr. Project Engineer. You will be responsible for taking a project from concept to completion. This includes understanding all technical issues potentially affecting your project such customer specifications, cycle times, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc. Continually assess the impact of these issues to your project and facilitate corrective action, maintain project budget, and engineering design release schedule integrity. You will report to the Mechanical Engineering Manager.

What you will be doing:

• Responsible for the overall design of a custom automated machine contracted for by a client. If a smaller project you may do this on your own or if it is a larger project, lead a team of Design Engineers and outside design contractors.
• Manage resources and breakdown the design effort for large projects into manageable design tasks and clearly communicate the design time, tasks, timeline, and milestones to your team and hold them accountable.
• Your designs may incorporate robotics, vision systems, welding, fixtures, controls, material handling, laser or plasma cutting, hydraulics, pneumatics, high-speed product assembly, and packaging
• Communicate regularly the status of your projects with customers and the management team

• BSME or similar degree with strong mechanical design skills
• 5+ years of project design experience for fully customized automated production equipment (NOT a base product that can be slightly modified for the customer)
• You must know SolidWorks
• You must have experience with welding, fixture design and GD&T
• Any experience with robotics, vision systems, computer controls, data acquisition experience is desirable.
• Direct experience working with customers and suppliers is desirable
• Interpersonal verbal and written communication skills are extremely important
• Proven success managing, facilitating, or controlling a group of people or large project to a timeline and schedule is desirable
• Good computer skills are needed
