Job summary

ExcelliSearch, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to drive the full development lifecycle of customized automated assembly equipment. You will lead design activities, coordinate resources, and ensure on-time delivery while solving complex mechanical challenges.

You will apply SolidWorks and GD&T expertise to create robust machine designs, integrate welding and fixtures, and manage cross-functional teams to meet client specifications and budgets.

Qualifications

• BSME or similar degree is required.
• 5+ years of project design experience for fully customized automated production equipment.
• SolidWorks proficiency is required.
• Experience with welding, fixture design and GD&T.
• Desirable: robotics, vision systems, or computer controls.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall design of a custom automated machine contracted for a client; may lead a team of design engineers.
• Manage resources and break the design work into tasks, timelines, and milestones; communicate status to team and stakeholders.
• Incorporate robotics, vision systems, welding, fixtures, controls, material handling, and high-speed assembly into designs.
• Regularly update customers and management on project status.
