Job summary

STENA in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Lead Design Engineer to lead design efforts for nacelle systems and related components on commercial aircraft programs. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet program requirements and drive design quality from concept through release.

The candidate will use CATIA V5/V4, Enovia PLM, and Fibersim/CPD to develop robust designs, perform analyses, and implement design changes that improve producibility and cost.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering with 3+ years in mechanical/design engineering.
Export-controlled technology requires U.S. Person status.

Responsibilities

Design and document nacelle components and assemblies such as thrust reversers, inlets, fan cowls, and EBU systems.
Coordinate with other functions to meet standards and requirements.
Execute product processes for design, analysis, test, materials, and manufacturing.
Initiate and execute engineering changes to support cost, weight, and producibility.
Prepare for technical and program reviews and develop action plans.
Participate in technical reviews and adhere to design practices.
