Job summary

Jacobs in Columbus, OH seeks a Design Architect to design state-of-the-art mission-critical facilities, including pharmaceutical and life-sciences buildings. You will lead a team, mentor junior designers, and ensure design quality while coordinating with construction and project stakeholders.

You’ll require a professional US architecture license, 7+ years’ experience, and strong Revit, SketchUp and Navisworks skills. The role supports a hybrid work model with onsite construction obligations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
• Professional Architecture license in the US.
• At least 7 years of architecture experience.
• Experience with building codes and specifications.
• Proficiency with Revit.
• Effective interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work onsite for construction work.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and analysis across projects.
• Plan and conduct work requiring judgement and adaptation of architectural techniques.
• Mentor junior team members and coordinate multidisciplinary work.
• Attend project meetings and support quality reviews.
• Ensure design documentation meets codes and specifications.
