Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Design Architect to join the Advanced Facilities group in Hartford, CT, working on state‑of‑the‑art mission critical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and life sciences buildings. You will lead conceptual, layout, and detailed design tasks, coordinate across disciplines, mentor junior designers, and support business development and client engagement in Albany/Syracuse, NY.

The role requires a degree in Architecture, US licensure, 3–7 years of experience, proficiency in Revit,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited Architectural program.
• Professional Architecture license in the U.S.
• At least 3 to 7 years of architecture experience.
• Experience with building codes and specifications.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Effective interpersonal, leadership, and collaboration skills.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of designers on layout, technical design, construction drawings and model creation.
• Attend project meetings and help resolve concerns across disciplines.
• Participate in internal, cross‑discipline, and external project quality reviews.
• Develop leadership and coaching within the team.
• Mentor junior designers and engineers.
• Advance workflows, systems, and tools within the Architectural discipline.
