Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Design Architect to advance state-of-the-art mission-critical and life sciences facilities. You will lead design work, mentor junior staff, and coordinate across disciplines on projects in Columbus, OH and related locations. Strong Revit skills, licenses in the US, and 7+ years of architecture experience are required.

Hybrid or onsite collaboration with clients and teams is expected. The role emphasizes design excellence, technical leadership, and active participation in QA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
• Professional Architecture license in US.
• At least 7 years of architecture experience.
• Experience with building codes and specifications.
• Proficiency with Revit.
• Effective interpersonal, leadership, and collaboration skills.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite for construction work.
• Experience with semiconductor, mission critical, life sciences facilities is a plus.
• Experience with SketchUp, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and Navisworks is a plus.
• LEED Accredited is a plus.
• Desire to travel is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, perform conventional aspects of architectural design and analysis.
• Plan and conduct work requiring judgement and adaptation of architectural techniques.
• Exercise sound judgement and problem-solving, seeking guidance when needed.
• Mentor designers and junior architects and lead small to mid-size teams.
• Lead a team of designers on design areas, drawings, specs, and model creation.
• Attend project meetings and help resolve concerns across disciplines.
• Participate in internal and external project quality reviews.
