Job summary

Ultipro in Brownsville, TX is seeking a Lead Dental Assistant to support patient care across all dental specialties. You will prepare exam rooms, set up trays, sterilize equipment, and ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced practice.

The role requires an active RDA license in Texas, CPR/AED, leadership experience, and bilingual (Spanish) abilities. Extended hours may be needed evenings/weekends. Training of new staff is included.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Assistant license through TSBDE.
• 1 year minimum Leadership experience.
• Active CPR and AED training.
• Sealant, Coronal Polishing, or PALS certifications are a plus.
• Bilingual Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam and operatory rooms to be clean and ready to receive patient.
• Setup trays and instruments for each patient.
• Prepare, maintain, and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Ensure all operatories are functioning properly.
• Clean rooms before and after each patient, and at the end of the day.
• Clean the suctions and traps.
• Take diagnostic quality X-rays if needed.
• Maintain the office flow for a smooth day.
• Assign roles to back staff.
• Place and check monthly inventory in Procurify.
• Ensure tests for dental equipment are run and complete.
• Ensure tanks (Oxygen/Nitrous/Helium) are in stock.
• Train new employees.
• Ensure equipment and tanks are off at the end of the day.
• Communicate with doctors and ensure they have instruments/materials.
• Assist with minor dental work and coronal polishing.
• Place post-extraction and periodontal dressings.
• Take impressions, bite registrations and study casts.
• Assist in all dental specialties and during exams.
