Job summary

Nevada Dental Benefits Ltd. is seeking a Lead Dental Assistant to support daily clinical operations in a high-volume general dentistry practice.

You will chairside assist, coordinate back-office tasks, manage inventory, oversee lab cases, and ensure compliance with safety standards to maintain an organized, patient-centered environment. Responsibilities include supervising the dental assisting team, training staff, scheduling, and collaborating with the front office on billing for lab services.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of dental assisting experience with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• CPR/BLS certification is current and CPR trained.
• Proficient with dental software and digital radiography.
• In-depth knowledge of sterilization, infection control, and OSHA/HIPAA compliance.
• Strong leadership, organization, and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside during general procedures, including exams, fillings, crowns, extractions, and impressions.
• Prepare treatment rooms with instruments, materials, and equipment.
• Take and process digital X-rays and intraoral photographs.
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation and charting in the dental software.
• Oversee daily duties and workflows of the dental assisting team.
• Train and mentor new and current dental assistants; create schedules.
• Maintain sterilization processes and infection control protocols.
• Monitor supply levels and coordinate equipment maintenance.
• Manage lab cases and track invoices; coordinate with front office for billing.
