Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Lead Decision Intelligence Engineer to drive production-grade decision intelligence across the NBA platform.

You will model business decisions, design agentic workflows, and guide a small team of engineers while partnering with product, decision science, and data science teams. You will integrate LangGraph/LangChain, Azure OpenAI, and enterprise AI platforms to optimize member engagement, provide explainable recommendations, and govern decision outcomes within a

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
6+ years of software or AI engineering experience, plus 1–2 years in leadership.
Strong Python engineering experience building production AI systems.
Hands-on with LangGraph/LangChain or similar orchestration frameworks.
Experience integrating enterprise AI platforms (Azure/Google/Amazon).
Ability to map business processes to formal decision frameworks.

Responsibilities

Decision intelligence modeling to formalize engagement objectives and constraints.
Decompose complex processes into decision graphs and services.
Determine where rules, predictive models, reinforcement learning, or agentic systems add value.
Design production agent workflows and tool integrations.
Build retrieval-augmented architectures for decision context.
Lead AI engineers, set standards, and oversee execution across the stream.
Collaborate with product, decision science, data science, and engineering teams.
