Humana Inc. seeks a Lead Decision Intelligence Engineer to apply decision intelligence and agentic AI across the NBA platform, translating objectives and data into structured models.

You will lead a small team, build agentic workflows, and integrate with enterprise AI platforms while ensuring governance and measurable outcomes. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and leadership in a regulated healthcare context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 6+ years of software/machine learning/decision intelligence experience with 1–2 years in tech leadership.
• Strong Python experience with production AI systems.
• Hands-on experience with LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, or similar.
• Experience integrating Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Vertex AI, or OpenAI.
• Understanding of decision intelligence concepts and evaluation frameworks.
• Ability to map business processes to formal decision models and communicate to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and operate microservices delivering action metadata and policy evaluation.
• Design action libraries, context-aware policy, and versioned APIs for high performance.
• Lead AI governance, testing, observability, and safety practices.
• Mentor a small engineering team while contributing hands-on engineering work.
• Collaborate with platform, data, and ML teams to maintain standards.
