Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Lead Decision Intelligence Engineer to own the application of decision intelligence and agentic AI for its NBA platform. You will translate stakeholder objectives into structured decision models and build production-grade capabilities using LangGraph, LangChain, Azure OpenAI, and Databricks.

You will lead a small engineering team, work with business and product partners, and shape governance, evaluation, and tooling across the decision lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 6+ years of software/AI engineering experience with 1–2 years in leadership.
• Strong Python engineering experience building production AI systems.
• Hands-on experience with agentic applications and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience integrating Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, and other enterprise AI platforms.
• Solid understanding of decision intelligence concepts and evaluation frameworks.
• Ability to translate business processes into formal decision models for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead decision intelligence modeling and decomposition across platforms.
• Architect and operate microservices delivering metadata and policy evaluation.
• Design resilient database schemas for action catalogs and versioning.
• Integrate rules engines and ensure deterministic, auditable decision logic.
• guide IA governance, testing, and reliability while mentoring engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical and business goals.
