Job summary

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) in Philadelphia is seeking an Induction Equipment Repair Maintainer First Class to service DC induction motors and related systems at the 69st Motor Shop. You will perform inspections, repairs, tests, and overhauls following wiring diagrams and manuals.

Qualifications include a high school diploma with electrical/mechanical training or equivalent, at least one year of motor repair experience, the ability to read schematics, and a PA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with electrical/mechanical training or extensive related experience.
• Minimum of one year DC motor repair experience; able to read from drawings.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license; ability to work variable shifts.
• Ability to read schematics and other technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Repair, overhaul and production of DC induction motors and components per drawings and manuals.
• Perform tests, inspections, cleaning, insulating, and reassembly of units.
• Read and interpret schematics, tables, and prints; use gauges and meters.
• Direct lower classifications and prepare repair work orders and documentation.
• Maintain a safe work area and operate shop equipment as required.
