Job summary

Christian-Care seeks a Full-Time Day Shift Registered Nurse to join the Nursing department in a Skilled Nursing setting. The Charge Nurse will support the Director of Nursing and Unit Manager by coordinating care on the unit and ensuring high-quality resident care around the clock.

The role requires RN or LPN licensure, CPR certification, and strong collaboration with nursing staff, physicians, and administration. Night/weekend commitments may be needed to meet resident needs.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current state license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• CPR certification required.
• One year of professional nursing experience in the long-term care setting is desired (not required).
• Knowledge of applicable state nursing regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess Residents' conditions and develop care plans. Record observations in EMR and follow through on care plans.
• Regular rounds with a physician; observe symptoms and adjust interventions as needed.
• Provide nursing care including wound care, IV therapy, and tubular care per physician orders.
• Arrange supplies and equipment for care and treatment as required.
• Supervise CNAs and assist with scheduling, transfers, and admissions.
• Administer medications within regulatory standards and document accordingly.
• Coordinate with physicians, DON, and administration during emergencies.
