Job summary

Christian Care Living is seeking a Charge Nurse – RN/LPN to lead nursing care on the assigned unit. The nurse will support the Director of Nursing, Unit Managers, and ADON, ensuring high-quality resident care 24 hours a day.

The role requires managing care plans, medications, and regulatory compliance while supervising CNAs and coordinating with physicians and families. Nights and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Michigan state license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• CPR certification required.
• One year of professional nursing experience in long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess Residents’ conditions to implement interventions and develop Care Plans. Record observations in EMR and follow Care Plans.
• Make rounds with a physician; monitor symptoms, progress, and reactions to treatments and medications.
• Administer medications within regulatory standards and notify nursing staff of contraindications.
• Supervise CNAs and ensure smooth shift operations and high-quality resident care.
• Coordinate scheduling and admissions while ensuring supplies and equipment are available.
