SiloSmashers, Inc. is seeking a Data Visualization/BI Engineer Lead to architect and deliver enterprise dashboards across Power BI, Tableau, Kibana, and Databricks.

Qualifications

• Five+ years building production-grade visualizations with BI tools.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Kibana/Elastic, or Databricks dashboards.
• Ability to implement row/column level security and governance in BI.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD for BI assets.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal BI/Visualization authority, owning end-to-end dashboard design patterns, accessibility standards, data-to-visual mapping, and visual QA processes.
• Design and deliver BI solutions on platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Kibana, and Databricks Dashboards.
• Author governed semantic models, calculation logic, and BI-ready datasets from Lakehouse tables; implement security and governance tagging.
• Establish patterns for incremental refresh, Direct Query/Live connections, and aggregation tables for freshness and cost balance.
• Coordinate with Privacy & Governance to enforce Unity Catalog RBAC/ABAC and data sharing rules within BI tools and export pathways.
• Provide operational support and incident response for BI assets; maintain runbooks, monitoring, and alerts.
• Lead stakeholder enablement: demos, office hours, and training; maintain data dictionaries and usage guides.
• Mentor BI engineers and enforce BI quality gates (peer reviews, test coverage, accessibility checks).
• The BI Engineer Lead is expected to be available to the customer 0900–1700 EST, Monday through Friday.
