Job summary

AbbVie Development Sciences is seeking a lead data scientist to conceive and implement cutting-edge data solutions. You will integrate, visualize, and analyze large data sets to derive competitive insights across early discovery through late-stage development.

You will mentor junior staff, publish findings, and ensure studies comply with GxP and company policy while collaborating with CMC, Biologics, and Clinical Drug Supply teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years’ experience; Master’s Degree with 4 years’ experience; PhD with 2 years’ experience.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conceive, design and implement strategies to solve significant scientific problems through the integration, visualization, and analysis of large and complex data.
• Demonstrate high proficiency across a wide range of technologies related to storage, transfer, integration, visualization, modeling, and analysis of large data sets.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare business to advance agile, cost-effective solutions.
• Be highly autonomous and productive with minimal supervision.
• Mentor or supervise a team and guide performance.
• Author publications and presentations.
• Adhere to corporate policies, safety, GxP, and data security.
