Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Data Privacy Engineer to advance enterprise data protection capabilities, shaping privacy-by-design across the organization and enabling secure business innovation.

You will partner with cybersecurity, engineering, data, legal and compliance teams to implement scalable privacy solutions, risk assessments, and governance, protecting sensitive information while supporting growth and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in privacy/security/data protection or related fields with regulatory experience (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA).
• 5+ years building enterprise data protection capabilities including encryption, DLP, data classification.
• 5+ years hands-on programming in Python, Java, Go, or similar.
• 5+ years in cloud and DevSecOps environments with CI/CD, IaC, and security automation.
• 3+ years leading cross-functional privacy/data protection initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data protection and privacy engineering strategy across data environments and mappings.
• Design and deploy Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) and related data protection controls.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, legal, compliance and security teams to implement privacy-by-design
• Conduct privacy risk analyses, impact assessments, threat modeling, and control evaluations for audits and regulation.
• Drive governance metrics, automation, analytics, and adoption of new privacy technologies across the business.
