Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Data Privacy Engineer to drive enterprise privacy engineering and data protection across structured and unstructured data. You will lead PETs like encryption and tokenization, partner with Legal and Compliance, and translate regulatory requirements into scalable architectures and governance controls.

You'll guide risk assessments, privacy-by-design initiatives, and privacy metrics, helping CVS Health safeguard PHI/PII while enabling secure data use at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in privacy, security engineering, data protection, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years deploying encryption, tokenization, DLP, and data classification.
• Strong software engineering foundation with 5+ years in Python/Java/Go or similar.
• 5+ years in cloud-native/DevSecOps with CI/CD and IaC practices.
• 3+ years leading cross-functional privacy, data protection, or compliance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data protection and privacy engineering across data environments.
• Design and deploy PETs like encryption, tokenization, anonymization, and DLP.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and cybersecurity to implement privacy-by-design.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments and threat modeling to reduce risks.
• Drive governance metrics, automation, and privacy capabilities across the org.
