Job summary

Meta is seeking a technical leader for the Data Engineering team to drive data foundation, analytics, and platform evolution across products. You will work with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to scale end-to-end analytics and governance with security and privacy in mind.

The role requires a strong track record in data warehousing, ETL design, and SQL, with experience leading global teams and influencing data-driven product decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years experience in the data warehouse space.
• 10+ years experience in custom ETL design, implementation and maintenance.
• 10+ years experience with object-oriented programming languages.
• 10+ years experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
• 10+ years experience in authoring SQL statements.
• Experience analyzing data to identify deliverables, gaps and inconsistencies.
• Experience managing and communicating data warehouse plans to internal clients.

Responsibilities

• Proactively drive the vision for data foundation and analytics across platforms and define/execute the plan.
• Conceptualize and own data architecture for large-scale projects with cost-benefit tradeoffs.
• Create frameworks to improve data logging and triage issues with data infrastructure.
• Build cross-functional relationships with Data Scientists, PMs and Engineers to meet data needs.
• Define and manage SLA for data sets in ownership.
• Design, build, and launch data models and visualizations for multiple products.
