Job summary

The Public Interest Company is seeking a Director of Business Intelligence to own the data picture end to end. You’ll understand sources in Databricks and Postgres, ensure data quality, and drive client reporting with Sigma dashboards.

This is a senior, heavily autonomous individual contributor role requiring business acumen and technical fluency. You will partner with operations, litigation, and finance to turn data into decisions, identify patterns and risks, and present insights that change

Qualifications

• 4+ years in BI/analytics with ownership of reporting and data quality.
• Strong SQL and hands-on experience with Databricks and Postgres.
• Proven track record building dashboards in Sigma or similar tools.
• Demonstrated ability to reverse‑engineer complex data models and document them.
• Strong commercial instincts and ability to turn data into decisions.
• Ability to own data quality as the single point of truth across multiple workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the data graph: where data lives, what fields mean, and how entities relate.
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and client reporting in Sigma.
• Ensure data accuracy and governance across the business; partner with data engineering.
• Translate data into commercial insight and drive decisions with business leaders.
