Job summary

S&P Global is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to drive data pipelines and platform delivery in a Databricks-based ecosystem. You will lead AI-assisted engineering adoption, guide offshore teams on onboarding patterns, and ensure data quality with the mastering platform while influencing semantic modeling and governance.

You will engage with architecture, governance, and partner teams to deliver enterprise-grade data solutions and lead by technical example across complex data platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering, data platforms or related fields.
• Senior contributor or technical leadership in complex data platforms.
• Hands-on with batch/streaming pipelines and Databricks-based architectures.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools (Claude, GitHub CoPilot, LLMs) in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead data pipeline transition and platform delivery with enterprise standards.
• Champion AI-assisted engineering to boost velocity and quality.
• Guide offshore teams in onboarding patterns for diverse data assets.
• Integrate pipelines with the enterprise data mastering platform and ensure data quality.
• Influence semantic modeling and data discoverability with cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical direction and participate in design/code reviews.
