Zusammenfassung

The American Red Cross is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Data Analytics team on a fully remote basis, with an East Coast schedule preference. You will design, build, test, and support an enterprise data warehouse while guiding a product team through modern data architectures.

Expect rotation on weekend support every 8 weeks and collaboration across analytics and business units. Responsibilities include data modeling optimization, scalable pipeline development, and mentoring

Qualifikationen

• 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10 years of relevant work experience in data engineering or BI.
• Experience with data warehouse design patterns (snowflake and star).
• Cloud DBs, especially AWS Redshift, RDS, S3, EC2, EKS.
• Advanced SQL and data manipulation for large datasets.
• Proficient in Python; DBT preferred; ETL/ELT experience.
• Agile development, DevOps practices, and code documentation.
• Experience integrating systems and APIs a plus.

• Collaborate with analytics teams to improve data models for BI tools.
• Build scalable data pipelines aligned to governance and architecture.
• Design and test data integration, automate tests and docs.
• Manage deployments via Git pipelines with version control.
• Troubleshoot pipelines for reliability and performance; ensure data quality.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and pair programming.
