Job summary

CVS Health Corporation in Austin, TX, seeks a senior data engineer to own the Medicare revenue data foundation. Design and operate data pipelines feeding the Medicare revenue projection model, ensuring timely, complete, traceable data for Finance, Modeling, and Actuarial teams.

The role requires hands-on Databricks/Spark, Python, SQL, and Airflow, plus strong PHI/HIPAA controls and risk-adjustment knowledge.

Qualifications

8+ years in data engineering.
4+ years of expert level healthcare data experience: claims, encounters, eligibility, provider, and clinical sources.
4+ years of production experience with Databricks / Spark (PySpark), Python, and SQL/Lakehouse/ELT patterns; orchestration (Airflow) and data-quality frameworks.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate data pipelines and analytic tables for Medicare revenue projection model.
Ingest, normalize, and reconcile claims/encounters, eligibility, EMR/chart extracts, vendor/program files, and CMS artifacts.
Implement HCC / ICD-10 mapping, model-year versioning, and timing constructs for accurate forecasts.
Own data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and snapshot processes for accruals and audits.
Partner with enterprise data/IT on Databricks lakehouse standards and CI/CD.
