Job summary

HarbourVest Partners is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to fully manage and deliver our private equity data platform. This hands-on leadership role requires guiding software projects to production, with extensive experience in private equity data and an entrepreneurial approach.

You will build scalable data systems that support investment and portfolio decision-making, mentor teams, and collaborate across Data, DevOps, and Applications groups to improve CI/CD and data quality.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data engineering and software delivery experience.
• 3-5 years of technical project leadership.
• Experience delivering data and applications to a wide audience.
• Proven ability to lead data engineering and analytics teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead on features, design, code, run and maintain pipelines and tests.
• Mentor team members on data engineering guidelines and processes.
• Collaborate with Data, DevOps and Applications teams to integrate CI/CD testing.
• Involved in testing and deploying internal data quality applications.
• Deliver data warehouse pipelines and modeling.
